What Makes This Sandstone Bowl Distinctive?
This bowl is hand-sculpted from Indian rainbow sandstone, a stone naturally patterned with waves and swirls in rich brown and orange tones. Those colours deepen and become more pronounced once the stone is wet, so the bowl looks noticeably different running as a water feature than it does dry. As with any natural stone piece, the exact pattern and colouring is unique to each bowl.
Water rises through a small hole at the centre of the bowl before babbling gently over the edge, giving a softer sound than a sphere or column style feature.
How Does the Water Feature Kit Work?
A pump housed in the reservoir beneath the bowl feeds water up through the centre hole, where it babbles and spreads out across the stone before draining back through the galvanised steel grid into the 90-litre reservoir below.
The kit includes everything needed to install and run the feature: reservoir, steel grid, mains-powered pump, aqua pipe and an LED light, available in blue or white.
