Some garden buildings look great, then you step inside and it feels a bit dim. The Penthouse is built to let in loads of daylight, so it’s a nicer place to read, potter, or simply sit with a brew.
Why is this summerhouse so bright?
The Penthouse uses two-tier fixed windows on almost every wall panel. That means more glass, more daylight, and a more open feel inside.
It’s a great choice if your garden gets good sun and you want to make the most of it.
What does the pent roof do for you?
The pent roof gives a clean, modern profile and helps rainwater run away in one direction. It also keeps the front height generous, so it feels easy to move around in.
How strong is the timber build?
The walls use 12mm shiplap tongue & groove cladding on a 28mm x 44mm timber frame. Tongue and groove boards slot together neatly for a tidy finish.
The roof and floor are also 12mm tongue & groove boards, and the floor is included.
What are the door and window details?
The summerhouse has a single full-boarded tongue & groove door with a lock and key. The windows use 3mm toughened glass.
Toughened glass is designed to be stronger than standard glazing and offers extra peace of mind.

What do you need to do after installation?
This building is supplied with a temporary water-based base coat. After assembly, treat the summerhouse inside and out with a good quality wood preserver and a water-resistant finish.
Treat it every year to help protect the timber. Seal all glazing inside and out with a suitable watertight sealant (such as silicone). Fit the building on a firm, level base made from a suitable, durable material.
