An open pergola is lovely until the wind picks up, or until you realise the neighbours can see straight in from an upstairs window. You end up using the space less than you hoped. This side wall combination solves both problems at once. The louvred sections screen the view without shutting out the light, and the solid panels give you somewhere useful to fix a TV or a set of lights. One kit covers one full side, so you can start with the side that bothers you most.
The two 1m side walls use fixed louvres. The blades sit at a set angle, so they are not adjustable, and they stay exactly where they are once the wall is fitted.
That angle is the point. Daylight filters through, so the space under your pergola never feels closed in, but anyone looking down from a first floor window or a neighbouring garden cannot see in. If your garden is overlooked, this is the part that makes the difference.
Three 31cm solid panels come with the set. They are flat, closed sections rather than louvred ones, so they give you a solid face to work with.
People use them for outdoor TVs, wall lights, festoon hooks and heaters. If you have ever tried to fix something to an open pergola frame and given up, this is the answer. You get a proper surface instead of a post.
Every part of the set is made from powder-coated aluminium. Aluminium does not rust, and the powder coating protects the finish from rain, frost and sun.
You can leave it up all year. There is no oiling, no repainting and no taking it down before winter. Warm soapy water and a sponge once or twice a year is all it asks for.
The set comes with all the fixings you need. The walls attach to the pergola frame at the top and to the ground at the base, which is what keeps them steady in wind.
This is a self-assembly kit and full instructions are in the box. Fixing at both top and bottom means the panels are a permanent part of the structure once they are in, so it is worth deciding which side you want before you start.

No. One kit fills a single 3.0m side. If you want more than one side closed in, you will need a kit for each side.
They are designed as a permanent fixture, fixed to both the frame and the ground. They are not meant to be removed and refitted seasonally.
This set is made for the Titan and Proteus ranges only. If you have a different pergola, call us before ordering and we will tell you whether anything in our range fits.
Adding side walls to an existing pergola does not usually need permission, but rules vary by property and location. Check with your local planning authority if you live in a conservation area or a listed building.
Very little. Wash the panels down with warm soapy water and a sponge once or twice a year to clear dust and dirt. No treatments or coatings are needed.
