A patio veranda that looks like a flat-roofed room, with a roof slope you can hardly see and a clean, square frame.
Most verandas have a roof that clearly tilts down from the house. That works, but it can look dated next to a modern home. The MB Cube hides the slope. The gutter and beams form one straight horizontal line, so from the garden it looks like a flat-roofed room. This is because the gutter is 21cm high, essentially hiding the slope from the outside. And since there is a gentle slope, it's barely noticeable so you get that complete square feel without compromising on rain drainage.
It is designed and made by MB Aluminium, a Dutch family business based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. MB has made aluminium verandas since 2008, and every part is cut and prepared in its own production before it leaves the factory. That means less cutting on site, quicker fitting and a neater finish.
Why Does the MB Cube Look Flat?
The roof still has a slope so rain can run off, but it sits behind a deep gutter and side beams. From the garden, the slope is almost invisible.
You get the look of a flat-roof extension without building one in brick. It suits modern houses, new builds and homes with large glass doors.

How Does the MB Cube Frame Your Patio?
The MB Cube is built from large profiles on 16 x 16 cm posts, like the Bold, with a heavy-duty gutter and a reinforced frame. The corners are square and the lines are clean.
It turns an open patio into a defined outdoor room. Put your sofa or dining table underneath and the space feels finished, like part of the house.
What Sits Inside That Deep Gutter?
The gutter comes in one piece up to 8 metres long, with a built-in water barrier. Rain runs into it and down a pipe hidden inside one of the posts, with a leaf catcher at the outlet.
There are no plastic downpipes on show, which keeps the square look tidy. Fewer joins also means fewer places for leaks.

Which Roof Gives You the Light You Want?
Pick glass in clear, opal or tinted, 16 mm polycarbonate in clear or opal, IQ Relax polycarbonate, or an insulated 24 mm sandwich panel.
Glass gives the most daylight and the cleanest look from inside. The sandwich panel turns the Cube into a shaded outdoor room that stays cooler in summer sun.
Does the MB Cube Have to Fix to the House?
No. It fixes to your house wall as standard, but it can also be made freestanding with extra posts and a static beam.
That lets you put it at the end of the garden, by a pool or over an outdoor kitchen, wherever you want shelter.

Can the MB Cube Become a Garden Room?
Yes. MB makes glass sliding walls, sliding doors, side walls, screens and sun shading that fit the Cube. You can add warm white LED spotlights as well.
Close it on three sides and you have a bright garden room for spring, summer and autumn. Ask us which options suit your size.
What Are the MB Cube Profile Sizes?
These drawings from MB Aluminium show every profile in the MB Cube frame. The numbers on the frame match the numbered profiles, and all sizes are in millimetres.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the MB Cube really a flat roof?
No. It has a slight slope so rain drains into the gutter. The slope sits behind the gutter and side beams, so it looks flat from the garden.
Can the MB Cube have a polycarbonate roof?
Yes, but the Cube roof slopes at less than 5 degrees. With polycarbonate at that angle, MB does not cover condensation or leaks. A glass or insulated panel roof avoids this.
Do I need planning permission for the MB Cube?
Planning rules depend on the size, height and position of the veranda. Many fall under permitted development, but check with your local council first.
Can I install it myself?
A confident DIYer can. Parts arrive cut and prepared. You need wall fixings for your wall type, and an electrician for any lights. Prefer not to? We install across the UK.
What do the posts need underneath?
A concrete footing in the ground, or a solid patio or concrete base where each post bolts down with a U bracket. Concrete and floor plugs are not included.
What are the delivery time and guarantee?
The MB Cube is made to order and delivered in 4 to 6 weeks. It has a 10 year guarantee.
