How does the full pane design help day to day?
The workshop features full pane double doors and matching fixed windows, all glazed with 3mm toughened glass.
This makes the interior feel brighter and more comfortable, whether you’re working with tools, painting, or using it as a calm garden room.
Why choose a pent roof?
The pent roof gives the building a clean, modern profile and allows rainwater to run away easily from the structure.
It also helps keep the front height generous, so the space feels open and easy to move around in.
How is the structure built?
The walls use 12mm shiplap tongue & groove cladding, fixed to a 28mm x 44mm timber frame.
Tongue and groove boards slot together neatly, helping the building stay tight and tidy over time.
What about the roof and floor strength?
Both the roof and floor are made from 12mm tongue & groove boards, giving better support than thin sheet materials.
The roof is finished with grey mineral felt, which should be checked now and then and replaced if worn.
What treatment is needed after installation?
The workshop is supplied with a temporary water-based base coat. It must be treated shortly after assembly, inside and out, with a suitable wood preserver and water-resistant finish.
Reapply treatment every year to help protect the timber and extend the life of the building.
