An open chimney lets rain straight into the firebox. That means soggy ash and wet logs next time you want a fire. The BonFeu rain cap sits on top of the flue and keeps the water out, which is handy if you don't always cover your fireplace after use.
Rain falling down the flue wets the ash and the firebox. A cap stops that.
It also helps keep the inside of the fireplace in better condition.
Match the cap to your flue: 100mm for the BonGiano, BonSolo, BonTino, BonCarre and BonTon 40; 120mm for the BonBono; 140mm for the BonPyra, BonGiro and BonTon 50.
